Impact of COVID-19 On Microfinance

Abstract

This study highlights the role of microfinance institutions in developing economies and the impact ofthe ongoing COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic on microfinance institutions. It subsequently argueswhy the pandemic has a negative influence on the financial efficiency of microfinance institutionswhile resulting in a positive social outlook for MFIs at the same time.
