Abstract: Substance abuse usually begins in adolescence. Adolescents are poly-substance abuser. They mostly widely use tobacco, alcohol and marijuana; nicotine and alcohol are termed "gateway" drugs. The several risk factors have been identified among adolescent substance abuse. These include high level of family conflicts, academic difficulties, mental disorder, depression, conduct disorder and early onset of cannabis smoking.
